Good News Today

Matthew 18:15 -16 Instructs members to settle their differences privately with each other. And, if this fails, they are to seek help in resolving the dispute. Moreover, if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

Friends, BELIEVERS SHOULD NOT SHAME OR HUMILIATE OTHER BELIEVERS, ALWAYS TREAT THEM WITH LOVE AND CARE.

We, members of the church means we have a responsibility. If our sheep gets lost we don’t look for an hour and call it quits. We get out there and find that sheep. If our brother sins against us, seventy-seven times we forgive him. Jesus modeled it in treating the Gentiles and tax collectors.

Friends, if we see our brother sinning, we are to go to him and show him gently and with love his fault to save him from kingdom ruin. It is the loving thing to do.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Philippians 2:1-5 In your relationships with one another have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Friends, the good news today says WE SHOULD EXPRESS COMFORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, LOVE, AND UNITY TO FELLOW BELIEVERS.

Paul gives us clear and practical advice on how to live with humility towards others. Firstly he says: “Regard one another as more important than yourselves” (Phil. 2:3b NASB), and secondly: “Do not merely look out for your interests, but also the interests of others” (Phil. 2:4 NASB).

This straightforward advice is something that we can put into practice immediately. If you haven’t done so already, realize now that other people are more important than you are, and begin to show a real interest in the interests and welfare of those around you.

Friends, stand firm and be unified in love.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Hebrews 13:16 “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. ”

Friends, the good news today says DO NOT NEGLECT TO DO GOOD AND SHARE WITH OTHERS.

It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of our own lives that we become oblivious to the needs of others.

However, we Christians are commanded to do good for others (Matthew 5:16). This is never presented as a means to obtain salvation. Scripture is clear that good deeds can never rescue us from sin (Galatians 3:10–14; Romans 11:6). The only thing that justifies us before God is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. When we accept that, by faith, we can be reconciled with God. Good works, then, are not what justifies us before God; they are the natural, expected outcome of this relationship.

Friends, Those who are saved ought to be thankful and joyful (Hebrews 12:3–12). Joy should inspire good works, done for others, as an act of worship.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

Friends, the good news today says THE WORD OF GOD PROVIDES US IMMEDIATE TRANSFORMATION.

Yesterday (September 7, 2023) during our online Bible Study being spearheaded by NYCC, Ptr Ding Marco presented five very important things about the Word of God (I.e. the basis of the gospel, its benefits, the burden to share the gospel, it’s beauty and the bond of the gospel). I was inspired by Ptr Ding’s exhortation so today, I’m writing something about the “benefits of the Word of God” which include: immediate transformation, preservation, and eternal destination.

God has given us wonderful benefits of the Gospel- forgiveness, righteousness, healing, peace, and victory. But for it to be activated in our lives, we must believe it. God has done His part. Now we must do ours.

Some of that transformation in our life is immediate (on our behavior, the way we talk, our actions, how we love, our faith and purity), but not everything will be revealed, yet. Only when Christ returns will we see everything He has in store for us.

Friends, eternal life with Jesus starts the minute we ask Him into our lives.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

Friends, the good news today says WE BELIEVERS SHOULD BE A GOOD EXAMPLE TO THE COMMUNITY.

In our golden text above, Paul gives five specific areas in which Timothy is to serve as an example. First is his words. Second his actions should reflect an example of godliness. Third, his love was to be an example (1 Timothy 1:5, 14; 2:15). Fourth, Timothy was to be an example in faith. This is similar to 1 Timothy 1:5 where Paul said, “The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” Fifth, Timothy’s example was to include his “purity,” both physically in his behavior around young women (1 Timothy 5:2) and in his spirituality (1 Timothy 5:22).

Friends, let us all heed the reminders of Paul, we believers should live in love.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

2 Timothy 4:2-5 NLT Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

Friends, the good news today says BELIEVERS SHOULD STAND FIRM TO THE WORD OF GOD.

I believe that Christians have their own greatest asset to spread the Good News. Ultimately, we will be held accountable to the very faith we publicly profess. If our doctrine is not pure and Biblically sound, it will collapse on all we have foolishly built our lives upon.

The only absolute truth available to us is the Word of God (i.e. the Bible). If we do not hold firm to the sound doctrine of the Word, we not only fool ourselves but those around us (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Friends, when we stand up for God’s truth, we are fulfilling the ministry He calls us to do.

God bless us. Let’s keep the faith.

Psalm 55:22: Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Friends the good news today says GOD WILL NEVER LET THE RIGHTEOUS BE SHAKEN.

Today, we are increasingly overwhelmed by terrors and threats, which cause many fears and fainting within, but throughout the Word of God, we are reminded not to fear, for the Lord our God is with us, wherever we go. We are also encouraged to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us.

Friends, God promises his presence in trying times and we always can depend on God’s presence when tragedy strikes.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Psalms 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Friends, the good news today says LET US LEARN TO BE CONTENT.

Our golden text today is saying that no matter what our circumstances are, we can learn to be content. Apostle Paul knows this, because he’s tested it, and he’s proved it.

“I can do all things” is the ministry that God wants us to do. We can persevere, share the gospel, and be content in any situation. Not on our own, but through Christ who strengthens us.

Friends, Psalms 4:13 is an encouragement that God can give us the strength to be content, no matter what.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Deuteronomy 28:13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Friends, the good news today says GOD WILL BLESS US BELIEVERS!

But there is a condition, our golden text says, we will be blessed if we pay attention to the command of the Lord and follow them carefully. Meaning we have to believe and trust God with all our heart.

To follow means, we need to always be connected to God thru prayer, we need to pursue righteousness, promote peace and live a life full of mercy.

Friends, let’s do everything with love.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.
