Birthday Prayer

December 31, 2021

Lord;

Thank you so much for the gift of life.

You blessed me for 62 years and I’m sure with your mighty hand, you will continue to shower me and my family with the provisions you prepared.

From the womb of my mother, you take good care of me until today and surely you will hold me in your palm for every second that you will add to my life.

Lord, I pray that you allow me to continue running the Christian race. I’m your servant Lord and I thank you for adopting me as your son.

Today, as I look back on my 62 years, and I’m declaring YOU ARE TRULY A WONDERFUL GOD.

Thank you so much that I can continue to praise you, ask forgiveness of my sins, and thank you for the opportunity to give you back all the glory and I pray to continue blessing my family and the brethren in the body of Christ. Please continue to deepen my faith.

And I ask you, Lord, to use me to continue spreading the GOOD NEWS.

Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful life.

And I say, Lord, Amen!

The measure we use

December 26, 2021

Good News Today

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, her and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Friends, good news today says THE MEASURE WE USE IN GIVING WILL BE THE MEASURE TO US.

It’s the season of giving and If we read Luke 6:38, it gives us the summary of how we should give. To exhort Luke 6:38, I downloaded the lyrics of the song GIVE AND IT WILL COME BACK TO YOU to guide us on how we should give:

Give and it all comes back to you, Good measure pressed down, shaken together and
Running over, Give and it will come back your
When you give, give to the Lord

Give in love, give in faith
Give with joy and the smile on your face
Give as the Lord has given to you
How you give is a reflection of your gratitude

From you heart give your best, Give unto God and you will be blessed
Don’t be stingy and don’t be tight, Learn from the widow in the Bible
Who gave her last dime

People rob God when they don’t give tithes and offerings, And they don’t understand why they’ve been cut off
From heavenly blessings
But abundant life and prosperity begins
When you prove your love to God
By giving to Him

You got to do it, give and it will come back to you, Good measure pressed down, shaken together and Running over, Give and it will come back to you
When you give, give to the Lord

Friends, God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son for us to have eternal life (John 3:16). So, in return, we should give to the Lord.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

Genuinely celebrate Christmas

December 24, 2021

December 25, 2021

Good News Today

Luke 2:10-11 But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Friends, the good news today says, in whatever situation we are in WE CAN GENUINELY CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS.

For some people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They don’t have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family, and friends. Many are saddened at Christmastime when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home for various reasons. Sumptuous dinners may be only a wish and not a reality for some.

I hope, we can get back at Luke 2:10-11. Christmas should be a season of great joy. It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It’s a time of healing and renewed strength. Christmas is a celebration of the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary baby. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child.

Friends, whatever situation we have, let’s keep refreshing the good news in our minds. God gave His only begotten son for us to have eternal life. Let’s celebrate and give thanks to God for this wonderful gift.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

Seek and you will find

December 24, 2021

December 24, 2021

Good News Today

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Friends, the good news today says WHEN YOU SEEK, YOU WILL FIND.

This proverbial saying ‘Seek and you shall find’ means, in the Biblical sense, ‘come to God and your prayers will be answered’. In a literal sense, it means our ‘effort will be rewarded’.

It does not mean that believers always get what they ask for. Wrong motives, for example, will hinder answers to prayer. We can read in James 4:3, you ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. However, the more time we spend in communion with God, through prayer, the more we will know what to ask for by God’s will.

Friends, prayer shows our dependence on God for our needs. God is always pleased with such displays of faith.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

God will always be with us

Good News Today

Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?

Friends, good news today says GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US.

One of the most endearing traits of God’s character is his faithfulness. Hebrews 13:5-6 sums up God’s faithfulness and commitment to us. In this verse, God is saying that He will never send us back, let go of us, relax His hold on us, loosen His grip on us, give up on us, or desist from being around us. He is also saying that He will never leave us behind, abandon us, or desert us. This verse in the scripture will encourage us or give us a greater understanding of God’s faithfulness and commitment to us.

God never lies, it is not His nature to lie (Numbers 23:19). We can have full confidence that God is with us and will always be with us.

Friends, when we look at the promises of these scriptures the reason we can be confident is that God carries out the work. He protects and provides. He carries us to the end. He keeps us in his hand and presence forever. We should not fear. God is with us.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

How do we give?

December 21, 2021

December 22, 2021

Good News Today

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Friends, the good news today says THIS SEASON IS A SEASON OF GIVING.

Ptr Rasty Sanoy in his FB account mentioned that “Jesus is the reason why we have the season”. I’m sure everybody agrees with that. When we talk of this season, the first thing that comes to our mind is John 3:16 God gave His begotten son for us to have eternal life. God is a giver and we are created in His image (Genesis 1:26). We should and must also be a giver.

How do we give? First and foremost, give to the Lord, give in love (1 Corinthians 13:4–8). It must be in good measure (givings done in addition to several other things), give in faith (there must be action); give with joy and the smile on your face (cheerful giving 2 Corinthians 9:6-8); from the heart (with sincerity); give the best (like the giving of Abel Genesis 4:1-16); Don’t be stingy and don’t be tight (learn from the widow who gave her last dime Mark 12:41-44). Give as the Lord has given to you (Story of Abraham giving Isaac to the Lord Genesis 22:1-19).

Friends, how we give is a reflection of our gratitude to the Lord, when we give, we resemble God’s character, when we give we do an act of worship, and surely, we will be blessed. Our giving will come back to us. Let’s us all sing the song ” Give and it will come back to you”.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

Free will and free choice

December 20, 2021

December 21, 2021

Good News Today

Deuteronomy 30:19 “I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God’s blessing and God’s curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.”

Friends, good news today says GOD CREATED AND GAVE MANKIND THE GIFT OF FREE WILL AND GIFT OF CHOICE.

The choice between life and death is an offer to all people. We are all dead in trespasses for we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God for there is none good, no not one (Romans 3:23).

The choice of life and death is for everybody. Those who will turn to Christ and trust Him as Saviour choose LIFE. The eternal, heavenly, glorious, UNCONDITIONAL blessings will follow to the one who believes in God by grace through faith. For those who reject the gift of salvation choose DEATH, through their intention, and bring upon themselves the curse of the Law, as well as everlasting separation from God.

Friends, God gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in HIM would not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). No conditions, simply by grace through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). It’s for us to choose, life or death.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

God looks at the heart

December 20, 2021

December 20, 2021

Good News Today

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.

Friends, good news today says GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART NOT ON THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE.

God, alone can read the heart, attitudes, and motives of a man. God is not influenced by our superficial appearance nor the good works we manufacture or even the exemplary words that may flow from our lips, for the heart of every man is full of deceit.

The one who trusts the Lord and acts upon His word pleases the Lord. It is the man or woman who loves the Lord their God with all their heart and soul and mind and strength that satisfies the heart of the Lord.

As believers, we all have been given a new life in Christ which is placed alongside our old sinful nature. The thoughts of our hearts and the meditation of our minds can be influenced by either. Whatever flows from our new life in Christ is gratifying to the Lord – but if we choose to allow our actions, behaviors, and the words that come from our lips to be impacted by our old nature – we may trick other people, but we can never deceive the Lord, for He alone knows the purpose of our heart.

Friends, Let us not seek to be man pleasers, which may get us high praise from our fellows and provide us with a worthy stature in this life, but rather let us take every thought, that rises in our hearts captive to the Lord so that we can be pleasing to Him and store up for ourselves riches in this heaven.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

Giving is winning

December 19, 2021

December 19, 2021

Good News Today

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Friends, the good news today say IF WE ARE A GIVER, WE ARE A WINNER.

John 3:16 is the core of Christianity. God loved the world enough to come as Jesus and to die for us so that anyone who trusts in Him will be saved from sin. John 3:16 is the most well-known verse in the Bible. It is probably the most-memorized part of the Holy Bible. The verse is a one-sentence summary of the gospel. When you give as God requires you to, you don’t lose, you win. Why?

  1. Giving makes you resemble God

If you’re a Christian, then you have to realize that you can give and not be a Christ-follower, but you can’t follow Christ and not give. It doesn’t work. It doesn’t make any sense.

If you follow God, if you imitate his character, if you strive to be in his likeness, you have to give, because He is a giver, we are to be givers as well.

  1. Giving is an act of worship

To worship means that we put the object of our worship above us. It’s an act of obedience to God that says, “You’re way above me.” Worship happens when we choose to forgive when we’d rather stay angry when we choose to love when we’d rather hate, and when we choose to give when we’d rather spend that money on other things.

  1. Giving blesses you in return

The financial area of our Christian life is God expects you to do your part, to live faithfully, and then he will do his part by fulfilling his promise. In Malachi 3:10 God says that he will open up the windows of heaven and bless your life.

Friends, if we are a giver surely we are a winner.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

Salvation is for all of us

December 18, 2021

December 18, 2021

Good News Today

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Friends, the good news today says SALVATION IS FOR EVERYBODY WHO BELIEVES.

The dilemma of life, all of us will die and each of us will face judgment from God. Either will spend eternity in hell or heaven.

The Bible teaches that sin is the transgression of God’s law (1 John 3:4), and all of us have sinned (Romans 3:23), because of sin, we are separated from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). The punishment of sin is death (Romans 6:23). This is the second death which is the lake that burns with fire (Revelation 21:8).

God loves us, He provided us a way to be forgiven (John 3:16). God sent us His only begotten son to die for our sins (1 John 4:10). For us to be forgiven and receive eternal life, we must accept the salvation which Christ has made possible.

For us to receive salvation, first we must HEAR the good news (Romans 10:17). Second, we must BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). Third, we must REPENT of sins to be saved (Acts 17:30-31). Fourth, we must confess that Jesus is the Christ, Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). Fifth, we must be baptized (Mark 16:16).

Friends, one who does not believe the gospel cannot be truly baptized. I challenged everybody to spread the good news. We have sinned but salvation is for us. Hear, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized.

God bless us all. Keep safe.
