Good News Today

Psalms 116:12 How can we repay the goodness of the Lord?

Friends, the good news today says WE NEED TO TELL OTHERS THE WONDERS OF GOD’S LOVE AND MERCY.

If we recall the many troubles and sorrows we have already encountered and how gracious and compassionate the Lord has been to us, it’s fitting to repay the Lord Almighty. But looking at our cited verse, there is nothing that we can do to repay the Lord for all His grace and love toward us.

There is no payment that we can offer to God that could pay Him back all the wonderful things He has done for us. But we can offer Him our sacrifice of praise. We can pour out our hearts of gratitude to Him for our great salvation. We can tell others of the wonders of His grace and mercy. We can seek to do His will with a willing and obedient heart that is overflowing with love for our gracious Saviour.

Friends, there is nothing we can do to repay the Lord for all His goodness and loving kindness He has shown toward us. But we can live a life that is pleasing to Him by trusting His Word and seeking in all that we say and do to live a godly life, to walk in spirit and truth.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Lamentations 3:22-23 The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By his mercies, we have been kept from destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin fresh each day.

Friends, the good news today says GOD FAITHFULNESS AND COMPASSION NEVER FAIL.

Today, as the rampaging typhoon Paeng exit the PAR and another typhoon Quinee is entering, we should continue to pray.

May the good Lord, have mercy on those who have experienced the greatest losses (who have lost their most cherished family members; children who have lost their parents; wives who have lost their husbands; and those who have lost every earthly possession).

Almighty God, raise every resource for the supply of the most urgent physical needs that the people have.

Father, in your great mercy, grant that the believers would be among those who make the greatest sacrifices to meet the needs of fellow believers.

Merciful God, grant that more people would be led, through these mercies, to see the merciful hand of God the Father.

Grant that more people would accept Jesus as their Savior, the one of infinite power and great compassion who could give them the future and hope for this world and the next.

Friends, we should continue to believe in the promises of Almighty God.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

I Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.

The good news today says WE BELIEVERS NEED TO PRAY CONTINUALLY AND DILIGENTLY.

Typhoon Paeng continues to wreak havoc. At nearly midnight yesterday, from GMA news, the eye of the typhoon is in San Pablo, Laguna.

As believers, what can we do? More than ever, we need to pray. When we read about the life and ministry of Jesus, we find that He prayed often and made this spiritual discipline a priority in His life. Prayer is incredibly important for every believer. To pray is God’s will for us.

Pray without ceasing means to have a heart inclined to prayer, to pray often, and to make the discipline of prayer a high priority, just as Jesus did.

In times like this, we need to cling to the Gospel we have received and to hold onto what was good and righteous. Our cited verse reminds us of the importance of prayer to keep their faith strong and to stay connected to God’s truth in whatever season.

Friends, we need to commit ourselves to prayer and make it a top priority in our lives. Prayer is the channel through which we can let go of fears and concerns, and how to lift our praises and thanks to God.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Psalms 66:19 God heard and listen to our prayer.

Friends, the good news today says GOD WILL NEVER ABANDON BELIEVERS.

Today, as I listen to the news, clearly typhoon Paeng made havoc in Southern Philippines not only on Physical properties but on life as well (31 people dead as of 12:30 am today).

When these things happened, different people respond differently. Some even asked, “why God allowed these things to happen”. More so, people are asking “Is God really in control”.

We believers should respond differently. In whatever situation we are in, we should remain trusting God Almighty. When facing calamity or disaster, remember, the follower of God has still access to the very throne room of heaven [Hebrews 4:14-16].

If we read back to our cited verse “God has listened, heard our prayers and showed mercy [66:19].

In light of the circumstances of a natural disaster, we should pray for God’s grace and mercy for several groups of people.

Remain Trusting God: “He keeps us alive” – Psalm 66:9. Even in the face of crisis, the people of God should remain trusting God, our heavenly Father. And we do so for good reason. God will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Friends, God is unchanging (James 1:17). He does not vacillate between good and evil in either His actions or intentions toward us.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Romans 15.2 Each of us should place our neighbors for their good, to build them up.

Friends the good news today says
WE ALL NEED TO BE AN ENCOURAGER TO SOMEONE.

I love our little brethren (Sis Stycee) at Labasan CoC. Every Sunday, she provides Special Song Number. Initially, she is the only one giving Special numbers. But now, I noticed other children are following her example. Even the youth are rendering Special Song Numbers. It’s good for the church. I praise God for these amazing young brethren. At her young age, unknowingly she is already a strong encourager.

Encouragers have great power to strengthen, motivate and regenerate. It can empower, enrich, energize, edify, elevate, and cause others to excel and exceed their limitations.

Encouragers are pleasant to be around because they are optimistic and enthusiastic. They have quiet self-confidence about themselves which enables them to focus on others, rather than demanding constant attention to fulfill their own emotional needs.
Encouragers make really good Christians because Christianity is more of a relationship.

The Bible is full of examples of encouragers like Moses, Joshua, Hezekiah, and Paul, one of the greatest encouragers of the New Testament.

Friends, the Ministry of encouragement is central to a healthy church. Over thirty times in the New Testament, encouragement is mentioned as a duty of believers.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Friends, the good news today says IF WE CONFESS ANY SINFUL ACTS GOD IS FAITHFUL TO FORGIVE US.

We were born dead in trespasses and sins, separated from God but by faith in Christ, our sins were forgiven. We became a new creation in Christ and were clothed in His righteousness. His Holy Spirit was sent to permanently indwell in our hearts.

We were made one with Christ, united with Him, positioned in Him, brought back into fellowship with God our Maker, and given the right to enter the throne of the Almighty.

But sin breaks fellowship with the Father. Sin is the barrier that the Christian can erect which breaks our fellowship and cuts us off from communion with the Father.

Friends, the good news is if Christians confess their sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and remember our sins no more.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Psalms 118:24 This is the day the Lord acted; we will rejoice and celebrate in it!”

Friends, the good news today says WE NEED TO REJOICE FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF BIRTH ADDED AND GIVE PRAYERS OF THANKS.

Today, October 26 is the birthday of my wife. We are giving a prayer of thanks to God for creating mankind and the Earth. We owe God our utmost gratitude for God blessing my wife and the whole family with so many things in life.

Today as the family celebrates her birthday, we express our big thanks to Almighty God. Our celebration is an expression of thanks. This is an opportunity to re-energize for future work for the Lord. It also opens the door to new mercies and expanding spiritual territories. As we acknowledge her existence, we praise God for providing us with our children, grandchildren, brethren, physical resources, and everything. We also thank God for the provision of our new home in Oriental Mindoro and for an opportunity to be with the good brethren at Labasan CoC. God is really good. The Lord provided more than what my wife asked for.

Friends, this is the day that the Lord has made. Please join us in thanking the Lord for another year of life of my wife, we pray to continue to enlarge her spiritual territory, and may the good Lord continue to bless the work of her hands.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Romans 8:16 – The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Friends, the good news today says CHRIST DWELLS IN OUR HEART AS WE ABIDE IN HIM AND REST IN HIS LOVE.

Believers have a living regenerated spirit that can have fellowship with the Father and abide in Christ.

The indwelling Holy Spirit of God was given to each regenerated child of God at the moment of rebirth. He took up permanent residence within the heart of all those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friends, when we live and move and have our being to the glory of God, in submission to the Holy Spirit, and with Christ as our central delight and joy, the indwelling Spirit of Christ DWELLS in our heart as we ABIDE in Him and REST in His love.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.

Good News Today

Friends, the good news today says EVERY DISCIPLE SHOULD EVANGELIZE.

Yesterday, I and other brethren (Bro Arleo, Sis Janet, and Sis Rhea) shared the good news with our friends, neighbors, and relatives. As we walk home, I can’t help but express my gratitude to our sisters and brother who aided me while we share the good news by reading bible verses and praying and saying Amen!

The feeling during the first time I shared the good news (a long time ago) is still the same today. Learning to share my faith brought so many important issues into focus. It has made me work through things I had never thought about before. The first time, I lead someone to Christ, I never forget it. There’s nothing like it. You keep on searching for one more soul. Sharing the faith resonated with everything I have experienced in my walk with Christ.

Maybe, some of us think evangelism is only for the most zealous and “spiritually gifted” in our churches. But, I want to highlight this EVERY DISCIPLE SHOULD EVANGELIZE.

The New Testament paints a picture in which every disciple of Christ is normally and naturally involved in evangelism as much as in Bible study, prayer, and corporate worship.

From the brand new Christian to the wizened old saint, sharing the gospel is necessary and integral to a growing life in Christ. We have heard and even preached sermons that rightly focused on the Great Commission’s (Matt. 28:18-20). And we’ve taught those around us that they should be disciple-makers themselves. But we also need to be clear that “making disciples” necessarily involves helping people who are not yet disciples to become disciples, Jesus modeled it (Mk. 1:14, 15; Matt. 9:35) and trained his apostles to do the same (Mk. 6:7-13; Lk. 10:1-12).

Part of the apostles’ teaching that the newly Spirit-filled church devoted themselves to (Acts 2:42) must have been the normal and regular sharing of the gospel with family, friends, and strangers.

Friends, evangelism should always be a part of our new life in Christ.

God bless us all. Let’s kept the faith.

Good News Today

Ephesians 4:29 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Friends, the good news today says WE BELIEVERS SHOULD GROW MORE LIKE JESUS, DAY BY DAY.

As believers, we are not under the Law but grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). We do not abstain from other things to please our God. All we have to do is to trust in Jesus as Saviour, by grace, through faith, knowing that He is God and that He rewards all who diligently seek Him.

We do not have a series of do’s and don’t but we do have the Word of God that outlines all that He expects from His children. God plans that the new life in Christ that we received when we were born again, grows in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and that the beautiful character of Jesus is formed in us, as we live our lives in spirit and truth.

As part of His Body and a member of the household of God, we should be holy. God desires that we live holy lives and the Word of God is our guide.

Friends, let us live holy lives that are well pleasing to the Lord so that all we say and do is helpful and edifying to the Body of Christ.

God bless us all. Let’s keep the faith.
