GOD HEARS OUR PRAYER

March 31, 2022

March 31, 2022

Good News Today

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Friends, the good news today says GOD HEARS OUR PRAYER.

Have you ever wondered: Does God hear our prayers?

Maybe we’ve been asking God for something for years and nothing has changed. We feel tired and confused. Or maybe we are afraid to share our needs with Him, we worry that He doesn’t care. The truth is God does not only do hear us, but He cares about us and as a Father care for His children. In Deuteronomy 31:7-8, we can read “Be strong and courageous … The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

In our cited verse, Jesus was encouraging His disciples to pray and to ask their Heavenly Father for what they need. He said, “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Friends, don’t lose heart. Keep praying. Pray with confidence. And as we pray, don’t just tell God what we want, but also ask Him what HE wants. Ask Him to transform our hearts. Surely, God will do it!

God bless us all. Keep safe.

WE CAN FIND PEACE IN CHRIST

March 30, 2022

March 30, 2022

Good News Today

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. As members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Friends, the good news today says WE CAN FIND PEACE IN CHRIST.

The Holy Spirit as a counselor is like a whistle that blows when we are out of line or out of bounce. We can read in John 14:16-17 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

When we act or even think in ways that are contrary to the nature of God, we can feel a shift in that peace, like a whistle being blown in a stadium. It’s not because He wants to punish us, the truth is He wants to help Us.” This Spirit is guaranteed to be with the believer “forever.”

Peace with God is never removed from us who has trusted in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Once we are saved by grace through faith, the inner perfect peace of God which rules our hearts and minds is dependent on us maintaining a right relationship with God.

Friends, peace is achieved through humble praise, reverent prayer, thanks, and a submissive heart that has faith in God’s word and trusts that God will keep His word, in all things.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

WE CAN SERVE LIKE JESUS

March 28, 2022

March 29, 2022

Good News Today

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Friends, the good news today says WE CAN SERVE LIKE JESUS.

Just as every part of the human body has a unique role, each person in the Church, the Body of Christ has a unique way they can contribute to the vibrant life of God’s community. We can read in 1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Christians ought to treat the needs of others as more important than our own, and other people as greater than us. By putting the needs of others first, believers pursue the kind of humility that leads to mutual love and unity. The emphasis should not on self, but on others. When this is achieved, the overall goal of humility is also met.

The Church is a great place for us to practice serving others. Even though He is God, Jesus came to serve others. He didn’t do it to become popular or because it was glamorous. He served out of love, even when the task was tiring or dirty.

FRIENDS, engage in our local church and act as the present-day hands and feet of Jesus.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

GOD’S SPIRIT DWELLS IN US

March 28, 2022

March 28, 2022

Good News Today

Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Friends, the good news today says GOD’S SPIRIT DWELLS IN US.

We are being transformed day by day. We can read in 2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
In our old life, we had no real ability of our own to please God.

In life, each of us will inevitably face difficulties such as poverty, family conflicts, the torment of illness, and setbacks at work. When facing difficulties, many easily become negative and weak and don’t know how to experience these difficulties, losing faith in God. Let us not worry, because we still have God. As long as we come before God and truly rely on Him, God will grant us faith and strength to go through the hard times.

Friends, now we’re free from the binding power of sin! The Holy Spirit dwells in us, changing us by guiding us into a closer relationship with God. We can want what God wants because He lives in us. We have been given a new power, the power to do what brings God joy!

God bless us all. Keep safe.

WE CAN FORGIVE LIKE JESUS

March 26, 2022

March 27, 2022

Good News Today

Colossians 3:13 Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Friends, the good news today says WE CAN FORGIVE LIKE JESUS.

The Church is a refuge for the weak. Other believers are being transformed just like we are, by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a journey we are all on together and each of us will fail to show love from time to time.

In times when we fail to show love, remember the forgiveness we have received. We can read in Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

One thing beautiful about being weak is how we allow ourselves to remove our walls. Our walls are what contain what we do not want others to see; our flaws, sins, failures, lies, and personal struggles. Often when we allow this to happen, we find strengths we didn’t realize we had and faith stronger than we knew.

Friends, we are made right not by what you do but because of what Jesus did. You can give forgiveness to others like God gives forgiveness to you.

God bless us all. Keep safe.

WE NEED TO LIVE IN GOD’S PURPOSE

March 25, 2022

March 26, 2022

Good News Today

John 15:5 Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Friends, the good news today says WE NEED TO LIVE IN GOD’S PURPOSE.

God has a purpose for our life. But without His help, we won’t get very far. When God’s Spirit abides in us, we are a branch that can grow heavy with fruit. We can’t nourish ourselves, but everything we need flows from Him, from the vine to a branch.

Our relationship with the Lord is like the relationship between the vine branches and the vine. Away from the vine, the branches will lose the supply of life and then wither and die. The Lord is the source of our life. Only by constantly living before God can we gain the supply of God’s life and bear the fruit of life. Conversely, if we often stray far from God, and live in the enjoyment of the flesh and material benefits, then we will have no proper relationship with Him, nor will we have the work of the Holy Spirit.

Friends, let’s connect to the life source, God Himself, we can live out God’s beautiful purpose for our life!

God bless us all. Keep safe.

WE CAN LOVE OTHERS AS CHRIST HAS LOVED US

March 24, 2022

March 25, 2022

Good News Today

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”

Friends, the good news today says, WE CAN LOVE OTHERS AS CHRIST HAS LOVED US.

In Matt. 5:14–16, we can read “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Spiritually speaking, there is no light in the world apart from Jesus Christ. His light shines through every person who belongs to Him. In this way, the light of Christ is spread into the darkness in every corner of humanity. That this light is meant to be visible to the world and not remain hidden.

We can shine with the light of Christ’s love for the world. As we live our new life for God’s purposes, others will begin to see that there’s something different about us. They may wonder, and ask us why we are so kind and where this unusual love comes from. Then we can tell them the truth, we can love others well because Christ loved us.

Friends, God’s love is a bright light, drawing people to Jesus. Let it shine through us!

God bless us all. Keep safe

GOD DOES NOT WANT ANYONE TO PERISH

March 22, 2022

March 23, 29022

Good News Today

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Friends, good news today says GOD DOES NOT WANT ANYONE TO PERISH.

Last March 20, 2022, during our Sunday Worship Service, I touched on the topic Christians Should Carry the Mission and today I want to make a follow-up to this Sunday message. I felt that with the forthcoming election, most people are forgetting to spread the good news.

The truth is, God is patiently waiting for the Gospel to reach the ends of the earth so that people everywhere may have a chance to repent. Spreading the Gospel doesn’t require fancy speech, just a simple and joyful proclamation of what God has already done in your life. This is how the Gospel will reach all the world—through one person (just like us) at a time! We just have to say, hear the word of God (Isaiah 28:23); believe that Jesus is our Lord-Savior (1 John 4:10); repent and be baptized (Acts 2:38) and we will receive forgiveness of our sin (Acts 3:19), and we will have everlasting life and we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then we continue to show the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:21-23).

Friends, if we know anyone who’s heading toward destruction (friends, neighbors, or our family members), tell the truth about Jesus, straight from our mouth. It could change their life. Let’s all proclaim the good news John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Let us all carry the mission of the believer’s Matt. 28: 19 – 20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”

God bless us all. Keep safe.

TREASURE UNITY AND PEACE AND WE WILL BE BLESSED

March 21, 2022

March 21, 2022

Good News Today

Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

Friends, the good news today says TREASURE UNITY AND PEACE AND WE WILL BE BLESSED.

We were never meant to go on this Christian journey alone. We can read in Isiah 30:21 “Whether you turn the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying “This is the way; walk in it.” Jesus and His, believers walked through life’s challenges together. In the Church, there may be disagreements, but we are stronger together.

1 Cor, believers,2:14 says “The body of Christ, or the people that are the whole of humanity, are a team. The body is not supported by one person, but by all of us. We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. We, believers, are all loved by one Father, forgiven through one Christ, and indwelled by one Spirit.

Friends, The peace and love which bind us together are more powerful than the differences which would divide us. Treasure this gift of unity in Christ!

God bless us all. Keep safe.

WE NEED TO RECEIVE POWER FROM God TO LIVE WITH PURPOSE

March 21, 2022

March 22, 2022

Good News Today

Psalm 138:8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Friends, the good news today says WE NEED TO RECEIVE POWER FROM God TO LIVE WITH PURPOSE.

Being on our own is one of the most painful things we can imagine—we feel helpless and try to survive with no help. But God does not leave us alone. He sent us the Holy Spirit—to lead us into truth, to advocate for us, and help us. He will never abandon us nor forsake us (1 Chronicle 28:20). It’s the Holy Spirit that speaks to us as we pray and read the Bible. It’s the Holy Spirit who convicts us when we’re doing wrong. It’s the Holy Spirit who fills us with hope and love and joy and peace—even when life is hard.

Friends, God is concerned in all that concerns us, His servants. He will see to it that none of their precious things shall fail of completion; our life, strength, hopes, graces, pilgrimage, shall each and all be perfected. God himself will see to this and therefore it is most sure.

God bless us all. Keep safe.
