Good News Today

Psalm 73:26 – My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Friends, the good news today says LET US DECLARE THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

We live in a day and age when to all intents and purposes, it appears that the wicked are prospering abundantly, while the prayers of the believers seem to be rising to a steel sky and closed heaven. Nevertheless, we have our Lord’s assurance that the sufferings of this present life cannot be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us, for we have a blessed hope that is anchored in Christ and an inheritance that is secured for us in heaven.

Let us draw near to God, catching hold of His eternal perspective and trusting in His unfailing love with all of our hearts. Let us not allow the circumstances that surround us and the apparent successes of the ungodly to cause us to doubt the goodness of God.

Friends,  let us declare the wonderful works of Him Who has saved us by grace through faith in Christ,

Good News Today

2 Cor 9:8-11 God can make all grace overflow to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will overflow in every good work. As it is written: He scattered; he gave to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.

Friends, the good news today says GOD GRACE OVERFLOWS.

Today March 25 and 26, an advisory was made “Brown out the whole of Oriental Mindoro” from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. It’s summer and it is expected the day will be scorching hot. To prepare for this brownout thing, we stocked water, fueled the generator, charged the gadgets i.e. Laptop, cell phone, and made other preparations.

God’s grace is overflowing. On the night of March 24, it’s summer 38 degrees Celsius but suddenly, there was that strong rain. What a relief, God’s grace is overflowing. God never stops giving in very unexpected ways.

Brethren, thank Jesus for reminding us, we are to give cheerfully and not from a reluctant heart – and it is better not to give at all than to harbor thoughts of resentment in our gifts. Giving should also be a personal choice that is made in the quietness of our hearts and not a reaction to the expectation of other people. It should be a deliberate choice and not an action performed for the praise of men, but rather to glorify our Father Who is in heaven, for God loves a cheerful giver: “And He can make every grace overflow to you so that in every way, always having everything you need so that you may excel in every good

Good News Today

2 Timothy 4:5
As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.

Friends, the good news today says ALL OF US NEED TO FULFILL
THE EVANGELISM MINISTRY.

We may not have been with Paul and learned important truths from this apostle but we have the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit Who has promised to guide us into all truth. We also have the responsibility to heed Paul’s words of warning, his instructions on living the Christlike life, and to be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfilllfil our unique ministry.

Good News Today

Gen. 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”

Friends, the good news today says MARRIAGES IS A GOSPEL-DECLARING RELATIONSHIP.

Today, we attended the wedding of our Brother and Sister in Christ, Brother Joan, and Sister Sunshine. Now, they are Mr. and Mrs. Evangelista. The two become one. We pray to God to bless their marriages and provide an abundance of blessings.

In our cited verse (Gen 2:24) above, God gives us four vital elements of marriage. It is an exclusive relationship. It says that a man shall cleave to his wife. The baseline pattern is one man, one woman, one time. Second, marriage is a public relationship. Notice that it says that a man shall leave his father and mother. This is something that we should notice. It is public. Third, it is a permanent relationship. The text says that the man is united to his wife. He cleaves to her. Jesus, quoted in Genesis 2, “What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” And fourth, marriage is a united relationship; the two become one flesh.

Friends, these are the normative parts of marriage: it’s an exclusive, public, and permanent union. But we must add a fifth. It is a gospel-declaring relationship.

Good News Today

Exodus 6:7 – “‘Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.”

Friends, the good news today says THE LORD IS OUR FAITHFUL AND LOVING GOD.

While the promise in Exodus 6:7 was given to Moses and Israel, He has given us equally precious promises which are ours through Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Through faith in Christ, God has made us His children; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ. He has promised to guard us and guide us through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and He has pledged to never leave us nor forsake us.

We can rest assured that He will not abandon us nor leave us alone. He will bring us out of our troubles and guide us on our journey, just as He did for Moses and the children of Israel.

Friends, may we rejoice in His many precious promises to us, and may we truly value the intimate and privileged relationship we can enjoy with our God and Father in heaven.

Good News Today

Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

Friends, the good news today says IN HIS GRACE, GOD SENT JESUS TO BE OUR SAVIOR.

The Law was given to show fallen men that godly righteousness is impossible to achieve through keeping the Law, because we are all sinners by nature, and we have all fallen short of God’s perfection.

God in His grace and mercy formulated a plan of salvation to save us. He gave His only begotten Son to be born into the human race so that He could become our Redeemer, sacrificing HIS perfect, righteous life in place of us. Shedding HIS sinless blood to pay the price for our sin.

Friends, the Law was the means God used to help sinful men see that we are all in need of a Saviour.

Good News Today

Isaiah 49:16 “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”

Friends, the good News today says WE ARE INDELIBLE IN THE HANDS OF GOD.

The Bible verse above is one of the most tender looks at the heart of God for his people.

The compassion of our Father in heaven is beyond what the sinful heart can comprehend, but God will never leave us or forsake us, even if for a time he has had to discipline us for our good.

God is perfectly faithful. God has always a mind for us, and He has a heart for us. He loves us, and that is why he will not forget us.

Friends God calls us to look at him. He is not a distant God. He is not a concept or a construct. He is a person that has revealed himself to us so that we may know him and the power of his resurrection (Phil 3:10).

Good News Today

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Friends, the good news today says Jesus Christ, who paid the wages of our sin, will not choose who may go and who will stay. He will usher us to the path leading to God. It is our choice whether to accept the gift that God has given us, believe in it, or not. God will grant His promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Good News Today

Lamentations 3:22-23 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”

Good News for every brethren, God’s love never ceases, will never end, and is new every morning.

This is one of the most comforting and reassuring words we will find in the Bible.
