Prepared by Ptr. Doods Agravante
It is the solemn obligation of parents to plan and desire their happy Christian family. This lesson will help you discover and apply some of God’s secret to happy Christian home.
Husband and wife relationship (Eph. 5:22-23)
Paul stressed the matter of leadership by calling on the wife to submit to her husband “as to the Lord”
The husband is charged to love his wife the way Christ loved His church.
Parent and child relationship (Eph. 6:1-4)
Love and respect for parents were not something cultural; these were universal norms.
Whether he is a Christian or not, every parent deserves to be loved and obeyed by his family.
Parents are charged to discipline and teach/train their children.
Master and servant relationship (Eph. 6:5-9)
Servant (employee) must submit and obey their master (employer) as to the Lord.
Christian master (employer) is also charged to treat his slave s (employees) with dignity and justice.
“The walls of home are not built of wood, brick or stone, but of truth and loyalty. The beauty of home is harmony. The security of home is loyalty. The joy of home is love. The plenty of home is in children. The role of home is service. The comfort of a home – of a real human home is god Himself, the same who made the stars and built the world”
